  Jim Barnes joined SML in 2003 after his company, James J. Barnes Insurance Services, was acquired by the firm. Jim first entered the insurance industry in 1976 with Lincoln National Life and remains actively involved with all his clients. His industry affiliations include:

  Outside work, Jim is Past President of the Redwood Empire Food Bank. In 1969, he graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Mathematics. Jim and his wife Claudette reside in Santa Rosa where they raised their children, Kimberly and James.

  Daphne Boyle**

  Daphne Boyle began her career with Great West Life in 1989. She joined SML in 1994 as a Research Analyst responsible for Life Insurance portfolio plan designs. In 2007, SML named Daphne as Vice President where she serves as a senior account executive and consultant to many of SML’s valued clients and their advisors. Ms. Boyle is an industry leader in the procurement and implementation of Life insurance portfolios for estate planning and business continuity needs.

  Outside of work, Daphne actively supports the local Parent Faculty Club at Diablo View Middle School and Clayton Valley High School. She attended Hayward State University and is a member of her community’s business association group. Daphne and her husband Sean live in Clayton California with their three children.

  Judy Brooks

  Judy Brooks joined Sitzmann Morris & Lavis in 2007 after her company, Benefits Advisory Group, was acquired by the firm. Before starting her own brokerage firm in 1992, Judy had been in private practice since 1986 as a management consultant. She remains actively involved with all her clients.

  Judy's client list comprises a diverse group of California-based employers, non-profit and for-profit, established and start-up, in the following industries: computer hardware and software development, clothing design and sales, trucking, transportation, publishing, architecture, construction, engineering, telesales, environmental, heating and plumbing, food and wine, retail, accounting, financial planning, home building, medical services, telecommunications, real estate, consumer products, radio and television.

  Judy completed Leadership Contra Costa. She volunteers with Crisis Support Services of Alameda County and is on the Advisory Board for the San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Judy and her husband Skip reside in Danville, California.

  Jacquelyn A. Cammaroto

  Jacci Cammaroto began her career at Great West Life in 2000 and most recently served as a Senior Sales Representative serving the Northern California and Northern Nevada marketplaces.
  

  SML named Jacci as a Senior Consultant in March of 2007, working exclusively with Gary Sitzmann & Vikki Mahoney. She is responsible for the strategic management and production of employee benefit accounts.

  Originally from Napa Valley, Jacci relocated to the East Bay where she attended St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. While at Saint Mary’s, she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, Taormina, Sicily and Cuernavaca, Mexico. Jacci graduated in 2000 with a degree in International Business and a minor in Spanish.

  Cecilia Cotter, RHU

  Cecilia Cotter had been a top Account Manager with Sitzmann Morris & Lavis Inc. for ten years before moving into a production role in 2007. Prior to joining SML, Cecilia spent seven years with Northwestern Group Marketing in both Sales and Account Management positions.

  Ms. Cotter is a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and member of the California (North Coast) Association of Health Underwriters. She is actively marketing both group health and individual life insurance policies for SML.

  Cecilia graduated from the University of Oregon in 1979 with a degree in Health Science Education. She and her husband Karl reside in Sonoma.

  Cristi Hart**

  Cristi Hart began her career with SML in 1997, marketing Group and Life Insurance plans to both individuals and corporations. In 2009, SML named Cristi as an Account Executive to focus primarily on estate tax transfer planning and executive benefits programs. Ms. Hart maintains her Series 6 & 63 securities designations as well as her Life, Fire and Casualty licenses. She also is a Notary Public.

  Cristi graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and also served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps in Frankfurt Germany. She and her husband live in San Ramon California with their two children and are active in their local community.

  Victoria A. Mahoney

  Vikki Mahoney began her insurance career with Great West Life in 1985 and most recently served as their Vice President of Sales for the Pacific Region covering five states.

  SML named Vikki as its new Director of Business Development & Sales in December 2005. At the time, she was responsible for all new sales activity and the management of SML’s consultant group. In 2008, Vikki began working directly with Gary Sitzmann where she serves as a Senior Vice President focused entirely on the growth of his employee benefits book.
  

  Outside work, Vikki actively supports the American Cancer Society. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1985 with a degree in Business Marketing. Vikki and her husband Kevin reside in Pleasanton with their two children.

  Victor C. McKnight, RHU**

  Vic McKnight is a fifteen year veteran of the employee benefits industry and came to SML from Rogers Benefit Group in 2004 after serving as Sales Executive for five years.

  Prior to Rogers, Vic worked as an Account Manager for PacifiCare in the Sacramento Valley. He is Immediate-Past President of the North Coast Association of Health Underwriters and is currently serving as VP of Legislation. He has been awarded the Golden Eagle Award by the Leading Producers Round Table. The Golden Eagle Award is the highest recognition bestowed upon an individual who has demonstrated professional excellence in the sale of health and disability income insurance. Vic is a sought after speaker and regularly speaks to business groups on health insurance trends and legislation.

  Vic graduated from Saint Mary's College with a degree in Management. He and his wife Sofia reside in Santa Rosa with their three kids Ryan, Ross and Alyson. He is active in various community organizations including The Rotary Club of Windsor, Mark West Little League and the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce.

  John P. Pressley

  J.P. Pressley began his insurance career with Guardian Life Insurance Company in 1991 and most recently served as their Regional Director for the Pacific Northwest covering five states.

  SML named J.P. as Vice President of Sales in September of 2009. He is responsible for all new sales activity and the management of SML’s consultant team.

  Outside work, J.P. actively supports the Cal Alumni Lacrosse Organization and a number of local charities. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1989 with a degree in Applied Mathematics. J.P. and his wife Valerie reside in Danville with their two children.

  Stephen C. Shaw, CLU

  Steve Shaw entered the insurance business in 1964 while attending college in Berkeley.

  After spending 40 years building a successful brokerage firm, he merged his practice into SML in May 2004. He continues to actively assist his clients in their Estate Preservation planning, while working with the SML Employee Benefit teams servicing his accounts.

  Nathan D. White**

  Nate White began his career at Great West Life in 2000. Most recently, he served as the 401(k) Regional Sales Director with their Retirement Services division.

  In October of 2007, Nate joined SML to form its investment advisory and retirement plan consulting subsidiary, SML Financial Services, LLC, where he serves as the Managing Principal. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic management and production of all qualified plans and wealth management.

  Outside of work, Nate is an avid soccer player and loves the outdoors. He received both his Bachelor's degree (1994) and MBA in Finance (2000) from Saint Mary's College in Moraga. Nate and his wife Lori reside in Alamo with their daughter Remy.
